Reflection Three

Sometimes I think I know it all! Some other times, the fact that I do not, hits me in the face. I am part of the technology training group and even though I use the computer everyday, I have come to realize that I have a lot to learn about technology. Gmail, such an easy concept, or so I thought, has so many features that I have yet to be familiar with. Blogging was also introduced to me, and I love it. This will be part of my regular teaching in a short future. I have also realized that I knew how to use many computer commands but I was not aware or their names or specific icons. Now, being a trainer I had to learn them as well in order to teach them to my trainees.

What do I expect? I expect to do what I preach. I will start using technology as part of my regular teaching.
What do I want to learn next? Well, Alvaro mentioned a website that would facilitate the making of a lesson plan. Where is it!? What's it called!? I'm waiting... Time is money, you know? :)

Just a Thought

Last Saturday was a really long day, but you know what? It was worth it. I learned lots of things and had a good time. I am really greatful to have been given the opportunity to be there.

I realised that I have a lot of friends here at the CBA. Most teachers, administrative people and even coordinators are not only my colleagues but I consider them my friends, and I am glad to know them. In the other hand, I also saw some people that I am not so closed to. Hopefully with time we will get to know each other and become friends aswell.

Reflection Two

I am really happy to see how each and every one of us is improving with this blogging thing! Playing, designing my blog is always fun and I think I am still in the honeymoon stage with it. I recently discovered that I have to approve comments done to my posts in order for them to be published. I think I had some comments awaiting approval for at least a week (sorry!). But, like everyone else I am learning and getting there. I have been enrolled to canvas as a student and learned to work my way through the website. It's easy to follow and did not have much trouble with it (yay!). To work on Sites and Wiki, I had help so that went smooth...

Being a teacher has been one of the most wonderful things that has happened to me. I never thought I could love it and I do. Now teaching teachers... that's scary. But "my"teachers are great people and have been very helpful accomodating their schedules so we could meet. I have nothing to say to them except thanks for being patient reviewing things they already know and to be eager to learn what they do not. Couldn't be any happier with them.

Looking fordward to the next step!

Reflection One

Even though I thought this training was going to be a piece of cake, is not. And what have I learned so far? I have learned to create a gmail account, to create a blog account and to blog in it! I am a little anxious to see what comes next!

Welcome to my Blog!!!

Let's get through this together and have fun with it!
